Terms and Conditions Regarding Website/services

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they specify our and your Legal Rights in relation to the use of “izidrivingacademy” website on which you can make payments in regard to the services we provide you.

  1. The Term “izi driving Academy, us, We, Administrator, Office” refer to the owner of the website and/or provider of services.

  2. The Term “You, Client, Student, Pupil, Learner, Trainee, PDI, ADI” refers to the User or Viewer of our website and services.

  3. The Term “Instructor, Franchisee” refers to person providing driving lessons and dealing with direct  Finance with Pupil.

  4. The contents of this website are to provide general information and is subject to change without any prior notice.

  5. With use of our Website, you are permitting us to hold your information for us to be able to find and inform you about the availability of an instructor operating in your area and their hourly rate.

  6. With the Pupil consents, the Instructor may take photographs and/or record videos of the Pupil during lesson or after their driving test passed. 

  7. The Pupil may be requested a Customer Review and will receive Review request via SMS, e-mail or via QR code send by either the instructor or iZi Driving Academy.

  8. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

Learning to Drive

  1. In order to start Learning to Drive, you must be aged 17 or older.

  2. You must pass the DVSA eyesight check which requires you to be able to read a car number plate at a minimum distance of 20 meters.

  3. You must always wear your Glasses or Contact Lenses if prescribed by doctor, during the lesson to keep your vision correct.

  4. You must hold a Valid Driving License either UK provisional driving licence, full UK Driving Licence or Overseas Driving Licence (refer to DVSA guidelines).

  5. You must present your Instructor with a valid Driving Licence before commencement of your first Driving Lesson.

  6. For us to be able to validate your Driving License we may ask you to provide further details.

  7. You must come to lesson with a Positive Attitude representing your will to learn.

  8. If you refuse our Driving Instructor’s instructions and put them or general public at risk, we have right to terminate your lessons without any refund.

  9. You must have not prescribed by the doctor any medication which may make you feel drowsy and have not consumed alcohol in the last 24 hours also should not be under the influence of any illegal substances or drugs at any time before driving lesson.

  10. All public vehicles are restricted strictly no smoking policy and therefore you are not allowed to smoke or vape in the vehicle during the lesson.

  11. You must wear appropriate footwear for Driving Lessons, otherwise you will be refused to take the lessons for that time.

  12. You must attend your Lessons at agreed time unless pre arranged with instructor. Failure to do so will result in you losing the time, instructor is under no obligation to add the extra time at the end of the lesson.

  13. You must respond to Instructor’s method of communication otherwise lesson will be charged at full price if no return response made to instructor within 20 minutes of waiting outside your pick up point.

  14. We act as an Agent for your instructor to provide services therefore, any services booked through our website which are provided by a Driving Instructor may hold separate contract between the pupil and the driving instructor.

  15. Your Personal Information such as Driving License number, your address and theory test certificate number may be shared with DVSA through our website to provide required services.

  16. Your Instructor may set separate terms with you and solely responsible for all the matters relating to the provision of driving lesson which may include agreeing on all matters relating to timing, location and content of driving lessons and practical tests etc.

  17. In the interest of public safety all Driving Instructor Vehicles are fitted with dual controls where instructor may intervene to avoid any serious incidents or accidents may get caused by your negligence or lose of concentration.

  18. You will be responsible to cover the cost toward the damage of the vehicle if caused by your lake of attention.

  19. Driving Vehicles are fitted with CCTV,  mainly recording footage ahead of vehicle but instructors may use cameras to record in car videos and install rear cam for the purpose of safety.

Lessons and payments

  1. The “fees” are the sum which you agree to pre – pay for your driving lessons and which we collect as agent of your instructor.

  2. One Standard Driving Lesson is of 120 minutes duration unless agreed with your instructor or package pre selected from our pricing page.

  3. Assessment lesson(s) is recommended to determine the length of the course required.

  4. Test day hire charges for vehicle varies from area to area.

  5. Lessons should be paid for in advance otherwise slot will be allocated to another potential client.

  6. All prepaid lessons will hold validity for up to 3 months from the time of payment unless proven extenuating circumstances may occur.

  7. All bookings paid to the instructor directly by cash or bank transfer is solely between you and the instructor.

  8. We reserve the right to change the hourly lesson rate at anytime for new driving lesson bookings.

  9. Instructor cannot guarantee that your driving lesson will take place always at your preferred time therefore it is your responsibility to agree and confirm the timing of your next lessons with instructor.

  10. We do not accept any responsibility for any payments made directly to instructors or any third parties.

  11. Our instructors have the right to refuse to proceed with a driving lesson if they have valid reason to believe that you are in any way under the influence of drink or drug.

  12. There may be occasions where we will need to change or cancel a booking with immediate effect.

Practical Driving Test

  1. In order to be able to book a practical Driving Test at the end of your course, you will need to have passed your theory test.

  2. You should always look for the availability of your instructor before booking Practical Driving Tests to avoid any disappointment.

  3. Short notice Test is where there is two weeks or less from the date of the first planned driving lesson to the date of Practical Driving Test booking, these clients will be prioritised over the regular bookings where best possible by local instructors, but we cannot always guarantee to accommodate this service and therefore we recommend you consult with us beforehand.

  4. We do not take any responsibility for test cancelled by the DVSA for whatever reason, any grievance can be raised directly with DVSA through appropriate channel.

  5. Your instructors have the right to refuse lending the vehicle for the test if they believe the student is not ready for the driving test.

  6. We can provide Early Test Booking Service upon your request and will incur additional administration charges.

Vouchers offers

  1. We may provide offers and discounts to new and/or existing learners from time to time.

  2. We reserve the right to introduce and/or withdraw offers time to time without any prior notice.

  3. All offers remain subject to availability.

  4. Always keep the voucher in a safe place as it cannot be reissued if lost or damaged or defaced.

  5. The voucher has no cash value and it is non-refundable.

  6. All gift vouchers have maximum validity of 6 months from the date of purchase.

  7. Any introductory offer is valid once to new customers only and will apply to new learners (Beginners) unless stated and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.

  8. We reserve the right to remove or amend any introductory offers at any time.

Complaints

  1. In the event of a query or dispute about any aspect of your Driving Lessons or Services directly provided by us, you should contact iZi Driving Academy within the time frame and we will endeavour to resolve the issues promptly.

  2. Any complaints relating to DVSA has to be raised with Gov.UK through appropriate channels.

  3. Any issues relating to Driving instructor’s code of conduct has to be resolved with the person it relates to before escalating with iZi Driving Academy.

Refunds and Cancellations

  1. You won’t be eligible for a refund on any lessons which have already been conducted at the time of cancellation (including the booking fee).

  2. If you cancel your block booking payment part way through, your instructor is entitled to charge their full hourly rate for the lessons that have gone ahead.

  3. We may charge administration cost up to 20% of the payment if any cancellations are made due to no fault to company or instructor representing iZi Driving Academy.

  4. If you want to cancel or rearrange a booking for your driving Lesson, you must give your instructor a minimum of clear 48 hours prior notice.

  5. You must inform for cancellation or rearrangement of your driving lesson by writing text, email or by phone call to your instructor directly involved.

  6. Failure to comply with these terms may result in your instructor charging you with full amount for that driving lesson.
